We're Back

We finally made it back last night. We had to add on an extra day to our vacation because Lily got a stomach bug on the last day and we didn't make it very far back when we left Disney. We are all very exhausted. Miriam has a cold too. It is just so good to be home and sleep in my bed and have all my stuff. We did have a lot of fun, but we were constantly on the go and only in our hotel room to sleep. We did too much especially with having little kids. Eliza did really well though. It was hardest on poor Lily and then she came down with the stomach bug. Today is catchup day for me- laundry, bills, groceries, sleep. I have lots of pics and will post more about our trip.

Packed Up

Well, I am packed up and ready to leave for Disney in the morning. I was really stressed out today worrying about getting everything. I am finally done and am winding down although i still feel like I need to be doing something. I plan to leave by 4am. I will do most of the driving too. I will not be blogging the rest of the week although that may be no different than normal. I'll be posting lots of pics when we get back!

February 03, 2009

I've been neglecting my blog. Since Eliza has been born, it has been harder to be on top of everything so less time to blog. I am feeling more on top of everything, but now I have been planning our trip to Disney World. I haven't posted much about it, but we leave this Saturday for an 8 day trip. With 2 adults and 4 kids that takes a lot of planning. I am a planner and I am so worried that I will forget something that I spend most of my time thinking about the trip. I just hope everything goes smoothly. We have all had a little cold, but are on the mend so i hope we feel good for the trip. I am very excited, but a little nervous too. How do we keep control of the kids (no tantrums) and still have fun?
I did not do as well with my groceries this week as I predicted. I did buy some extra things and 1 more day of meals. I shopped at Target, Publix, and Food Lion. It would have been $246.75, had savings and coupons of $54.24, and spent $192.51. That is just 22% saved. Oh well!
I am doing ok with the no milk thing. I cheat some, but only for a bite or two. The thing I miss most is cheese. there is just no milk free version or equivalent. I also miss pre made things. It's a little harder making things from scratch. My stomach seems to miss milk too. My stomach is feeling a little upset here and there.
My mom had a car accident yesterday. Some guy thought his SUV could just magically go right through her car or something. He hit her on the driver side. It totalled my mom's car, but thankfully all she had was whiplash. Now to add to my busy week, I will help them get around some. (Not that I mind mom!!!)
