Three day Tally

Potty- 7
Accidents- 15
I don't remember it being this hard with Miriam. Of course it has been almost 4 years since I potty trained her. Lily is just a bit more stubborn and strong willed. I am being a bit lazy myself and probably am not as vigilant as I should be. I wish they would just potty train themselves. Lily knows what to do. Several times I have put her on the potty and sat with her and she would do nothing. then she would have an accident 5 minutes later. Plus she really doesn't care if she is wet. She peed while jumping on the trampoline yesterday and then just kept jumping. Diapers are so much easier and I am having to force myself not to put them back on her.

I am totally putting off potty training with my 2 year old. He knows what to do, but I know I don't care enough to be really vigilant with him right now, so I know exactly what you mean!

Good luck!

I had a terrible time trying to potty train Ethan at 2. I finally gave up and waited until he was 3 to get serious about it. It was a breeze and he potty-trained at night at the same time. I did the same thing with Chloe. I started introducing her to the potty at about 2 1/2. I didn't make a big deal about it but just made her sit on the toilet before each bath time. If she did go in the potty I gave her 3 m&m's for pee and 5 for poop. It became routine for her and she liked the treats so it encouraged her to try other times. I didn't really enforce it until she was 3 though. This has worked so well for my first 2. They picked up on night training too. I'm praying that Jaida is just as easy. I've never been a big fan of going without panties. It just seems very unsanitary to me. I had a friend who did this, and her little boy kept peeing in the corner of the room. She didn't realize he was doing this until the room stunk. Works for some people though. To each his own...
